Detailed itinerary

Day 1; pick up and drive to Arusha national park

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha and welcome you for your 9 days Tanzania wildlife safari. You will have a short briefing about the safari and you will proceed to Arusha national park where you will have a wildlife viewing experience.

During your visit to Arusha national park, you will enjoy a walking safari and get a close experience with nature and also see wildlife species such as giraffes, zebras, buffalos, black and white colobus monkeys, bushbucks among others. after your wildlife viewing experience in Arusha national park, you will return to your hotel for dinner and overnight at Tulia boutique hotel and spa.


Day 2; drive to Tarangire national park

After breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, you will be driven to Tarangire national park for more game viewing experiences. Tarangire national park has large herds of elephants as well as attractions like Tarangire river where wildlife species can be spotted. You will also enjoy views of baobab trees during your safari in the national park.

You will check in and have lunch at your lodge in Tarangire national park before going for your afternoon game drive to enjoy searching for wildlife species such as elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, antelopes, klipspringers, zebras among others. You will have dinner and spend the night at Tarangire Roika lodge.


Day 3; full day in Tarangire national park

Your breakfast will be served early at your lodge ahead of your morning game drive in Tarangire national park during which you will spot various wildlife species in the savannah such as elephants, antelopes, zebras, buffalos, lions, gazelles, klipspringers among others. This national park is also home to over 600 bird species. After your morning game drive, you will have your lunch and enjoy taking photos.

After lunch, you will engage in another game drive in Tarangire national park as you explore the savannah plains in search of wildlife species and also to enjoy seeing the beautiful landscape in the national park during your 9 days Tanzania wildlife safari. You will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight as the day before at Tarangire Roika lodge.


Day 4; drive to Ngorongoro conservation area

You will have breakfast at your lodge as you prepare to drive to your next wildlife viewing destination on your 9 days Tanzania wildlife safari which is the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will visit the Ngorongoro crater where you will see different wildlife species like the big 5 such as elephants, rhinos, lions, leopards and buffalos as well as other wildlife species like cheetahs, elands, antelopes, hyenas, warthogs, impalas, waterbucks, hippos, hartebeests among others.

During your safari in the Ngorongoro crater after descending 600 meters into the carter, you will also enjoy beautiful views around the crater such as flamingos in big numbers along the shores of Lake Magadi. After your game drive in Ngorongoro crater, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro wildlife lodge.


Day 5; Ol duvai gorge and Maasai experience

After breakfast at your lodge, you will proceed to Ol duvai gorge where you will visit the archaeological site where discoveries of human ancestors were made by Dr Louis and Mary Leakey. You will enjoy seeing the Great Rift Valley where the gorge is found. After this experience, you will also enjoy another safari experience at this destination as you interact with the Maasai people who are known for their nomadic ways of life and for their unique culture.

You will be driven back to your lodge after this experience and you will have dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro wildlife lodge.


Day 6; drive to Serengeti national park

Breakfast will be served at your lodge as you prepare for your transfer from Ngorongoro to Serengeti National Park during your 9 days Tanzania wildlife safari. Serengeti national park is the oldest national park in Tanzania which is also a popular tourist destination which is visited annually by tourists interested in seeing numerous wildlife species like the big 5 such as rhinos, buffalos, elephants, lions and leopards.

You will have lunch before engaging in an afternoon game drive in Serengeti national park in search of the different wildlife species like wildebeests, zebras, antelopes, gazelles, impalas, kudu, hartebeests, waterbucks, hippos, giraffes among others. You will be driven to your lodge for dinner and overnight after your game drive at Osinon camps and lodges.


Day 7; full day in Serengeti national park

Your breakfast will be served at your lodge in Serengeti national park ahead of your full day game viewing experience in the national park. You will enjoy the landscape of endless dotted savannah plains where you will search for the various wildlife species such as wildebeests, zebras, antelopes, gazelles, impalas, kudu, hartebeests, dik dik, lions, leopards, elephants, hippos, giraffes among others. You will have your lunch after the morning game drive in Serengeti national park.

After your lunch, you will engage in another game drive to explore more of the wilderness of Serengeti national park and to look out for the different wildlife species. You will also enjoy seeing rock outcrops like the Simba kopjes where you will spot lions during your game drive. After the game drive, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Osinon camps and lodges.


Day 8; drive to Lake Manyara national park

After breakfast at your lodge, you will prepare for a transfer from Serengeti national park to Lake Manyara national park where you will enjoy seeing tree-climbing lions. Other wildlife species in Lake Manyara national park include elephants, buffalos, leopards, antelopes, gazelles, waterbucks, monkeys among others.

You will also enjoy seeing attractions like the Lake Manyara which covers a big part of the national park. You will have lunch at your lodge before engaging in a game drive to explore the diverse habitats in Lake Manyara national park and to look out for the different wildlife species. You will return to your lodge after the game drive for dinner and overnight at Twiga lodge.


Day 9; drive to Arusha

On the last day of your 9 days Tanzania wildlife safari, you will have breakfast and your guide will drive you from your lodge back to Arusha where you will be dropped off at the airport or at your hotel which will bring your safari to an end.
