6 Days Wildlife Tanzania Safari : This 6 Days Wildlife Tanzania trip will take you to Tanzania’s finest national park for a wildlife experience. Serengeti national park which is ranged as Tanzania’s best safari destination in Africa recognised internationally by CNN as Africa’s second best national park after Kruger national park in South Africa. The Serengeti national park covers an area of about 14,763 square kilometres with plains, kopjes, rivers, forests and woodlands in northern Tanzania. The Serengeti is home to one of nature’s most spectacular displays of the Wildebeest Migration also known as the Great Migration.
The Ngorongoro conservation area is a game reserve with a large concentration of game located inside the rim of an extinct volcano covering an area of about 8,292 square kilometres of forests, savannah plains, wetlands and lake habitats on the eastern side of the Serengeti in northern Tanzania. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest volcanic caldera with an area size of about 260 square kilometres and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site known as “Africa’s Garden of Eden”.
Tarangire national park boasts the highest density of Elephants in Tanzania in a wild and remote wilderness area of spectacular beauty. Tarangire national park lies South East of Lake Manyara, a less crowded gem on Tanzania’s popular northern game-viewing circuit. Lake Manyara is a freshwater lake that lies within the diverse and lush Lake Manyara national park offering superb bird watching, stunning scenery and excellent game viewing. This compact game park is best known for its tree-climbing lions, healthy elephant population and thousands of flamingos. The 325 square kilometres Lake Manyara is also home to a variety of wildlife species, such as Hippo, Baboon, Buffalo, Cheetah, Masai giraffe and Impala.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Lake Manyara national park
Depending on your location in Arusha, you will be picked up by your safari guide who will welcome you and brief you about the safari. After the briefing, you will be driven to Lake Manyara national park, it’s a 2 hours’ drive to arrive at Lake Manyara around mid-morning or early afternoon.
6 Days Wildlife Tanzania Safari
Drive to your lodge for refreshment and lunch. After lunch, go for an evening game drive depending on the weather but the game drives are always rewarding and excellent as you get more animals and big ones resting after a long day’s hustle. The most sited habitats are: Elephants, Lions, Giraffes, Zebras, Baboons, and others. Return to our lodge for dinner and overnight at Twiga lodge.
Day 2: Transfer to Serengeti national park
You will have an early breakfast at your lodge as you prepare for your transfer to Serengeti national park. It’s a 5-6 hours’ drive from Lake Manyara. On arrival at Serengeti Park, you proceed to your lodge for check-in and have your lunch.
After lunch, you will have an afternoon game drive as you search for wildlife species in the savannah plains such as the big five like elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, rhinos, and also enjoy the beautiful scenery such as the kopjes where lions can be seen as they watch their prey. You will proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Osinon camps and lodges.
Day 3: Full day game drive in Serengeti national park
After having breakfast, you will engage in a whole day game viewing experience. Your lunch will be served at your lodge after your morning game drive. Later in the evening, you will engage in another game drive to see wildlife species such as the big five like lions, leopards, buffalos, rhinos and elephants.

You will also see other wildlife and bird species which include wildebeest, waterbucks, antelopes, zebras, kudus, hippos, buffalos among others. You will return to your lodge after your evening game drive for dinner and overnight at Osinon camps and lodges.
Day 4: Transfer to Ngorongoro crater
After early morning breakfast at the lodge, you will drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation area. This is a 4 hours’ drive and upon arrival, you have an OPTION to stop over at Olduvai Gorge, boasting with a history and it is the place where anthropologists Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of early men.
You will have lunch then descending 600 meters into the Ngorongoro crater for amazing wildlife viewing opportunities and to enjoy the beautiful scenery. You will look out for a variety of wildlife species which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants as well as predators such as lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and leopard. You will also explore Lake Magadi which is a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner and is among the main features of the crater. You will see a large number of flamingos, hippos as well as other bird species during your visit to the lake. You will proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Hhando Coffee Lodge.
Day 5: Transfer to Tarangire national park
You will have an early breakfast at your lodge and check out of your lodge. You will have a stopover in Karatu for an experience with the Maasai people. You will see local arts and crafts such as beaded jewelry ( Optional tour)
Thereafter, proceed to Tarangire national park where you will have lunch at your lodge after checking in. Later, you will have an evening game drive during which you will see different wildlife species such as elephants, buffalos, antelopes, zebras, lions, leopards among others. You will proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Tarangire Roika lodge.
Day 6: Transfer back to Arusha
You will have an early breakfast at your lodge. Check-out and embark on your 3-4 hours’ drive back to Arusha. Upon arrival, your guide will drop you off at your preferred location in Arusha which will mark the end of your safari. End of Safari
