7 Days Serengeti & Tarangire Wildlife safari is a safari experience in Tanzania starting in Arusha and then proceeding to Lake Manyara national park and then Serengeti national park, Ngorongoro conservation area and Tarangire national park.

You will enjoy seeing tree-climbing lions during your safari in Lake Manyara national park which will be your first stop during your 7 days Serengeti and Tarangire wildlife safari. Lake Manyara national park is also a good location to enjoy a canopy walk along the treetop walkway with beautiful views of the national park and the forest.

During the 7 days Serengeti and Tarangire wildlife safari, you will also visit Serengeti national park and Ngorongoro conservation area which are locations where you will see the big 5 such as elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos and buffalos.

You will also visit Tarangire national park and enjoy seeing large herds of elephants and also seeing the baobab trees. You will engage in morning and afternoon game drives during this safari and also enjoy a cultural experience on the 1st day of your safari.

You will return to Arusha after your wildlife viewing experience and your guide will drop you off at your hotel in Arusha or at your hotel which will bring the safari to an end.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1; pick up and drive to Lake Manyara national park

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha and welcome you for your 7 days Serengeti and Tarangire safari. You will have a short briefing for your safari before proceeding to Lake Manyara national park with a short stop in Mto wa mbu town for craft shopping and also an experience of interacting with the local community. You will proceed to your lodge for check in and also to have your lunch.

After your lunch, you will engage in an afternoon game drive in Lake Manyara national park which is home to the rare tree climbing lions and also other wildlife species like elephants, buffalos, leopards, buffalos, elands, antelopes, gazelles, and zebras as well as different bird species. You will be driven back to your lodge after the game drive for dinner and overnight at Twiga lodge.

Day 2; drive to Serengeti national park

You will have breakfast at your lodge as you prepare to drive to Serengeti national park for more wildlife viewing in the oldest national park of Tanzania. You will enjoy searching around the endless savannah plains for wildlife species like the big 5 like elephants, rhinos, lions, leopards and buffalos. You will have lunch at your lodge before engaging in an afternoon game drive.

You will see different wildlife species in Serengeti national park during your 7 days Serengeti and Tarangire wildlife safari such as wildebeests, zebras, antelopes, impalas, gazelles, kudu, dik dik, giraffes, hippos, waterbucks, hartebeests among others. You will have dinner and overnight after your game drive at Osinon camps and lodges.

Day 3; full day in Serengeti national park

On the 3rd day of your 7 days Serengeti and Tarangire wildlife safari, your breakfast will be served at your lodge as you prepare to engage in a morning and afternoon game drive in Serengeti national park. Serengeti national park is home to different wildlife species like wildebeests, lions, leopards, zebras, rhinos, buffalos, antelopes, gazelles, impalas, kudu, dik dik, giraffes and hippos among others. You will also see various bird species in the national park during your safari.

You will have lunch before engaging in an afternoon game drive in Serengeti national park to look for more wildlife species and also to enjoy seeing different attractions like kopjes, Seronera valley, retina hippo pool among others. Your dinner and overnight will be at Osinon camps and lodges.

Day 4; transfer to Ngorongoro conservation area

You will have breakfast at your lodge and then continue your drive from Serengeti national park to Ngorongoro conservation area. You will enjoy an en route game drive in the national park on your way to Ngorongoro where you will descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro crater. You will search for wildlife species like elephants, rhinos, lions, leopards, buffalos, wildebeests, zebras, hippos, antelopes, impalas, gazelles, waterbucks, kudu, cheetahs, hyenas and warthogs as well as different bird species.

You will also see attractions like Lake Magadi where you will spot flamingos and other bird species along the shores of the lake. Your guide will drive you to your lodge for dinner and to spend the night at Hhando coffee lodge.

Day 5; drive to Tarangire national park

You will start the 5th day of your 7 days Serengeti and Tarangire wildlife safari with breakfast at your lodge ahead of your transfer to Tarangire national park where you will see wildlife species like elephants in their large herds, enjoy seeing baobab trees and also engage in game drives in search of different wildlife species. Tarangire national park is also home to over 600 bird species which can be seen during a safari.

After checking in and having your lunch at your lodge, you will engage in an afternoon game drive to look out for different wildlife species like lions, giraffes, leopards, buffalos, elephants, antelopes, zebras, impalas, gazelles, klipspringers among others. You will also enjoy seeing the Tarangire river which flows through the national park during your afternoon game drive. After your wildlife viewing experience, you will be driven to your lodge where you will spend the night and have dinner at Tarangire Roika lodge.

Day 6; full day in Tarangire national park

You will spend a whole day exploring the wilderness of Tarangire national park where you will enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in search of different wildlife species. You will engage in a morning game drive after having an early breakfast at your lodge.

The different wildlife species in the national park are very active and can be spotted as they graze and roam in the national park in the morning and these include lions, leopards, buffalos, elephants, antelopes among others. You will have your lunch before going for another game drive around Tarangire national park. Your dinner and overnight will be as the day before at Tarangire Roika lodge.

Day 7; drive to Arusha

You will have breakfast at your lodge on the last day of your 7 days Serengeti and Tarangire wildlife safari as you prepare to be driven back to Arusha. Your guide will drop you off at your hotel in Arusha or at the airport which will bring your safari in Tanzania to an end.
