Our 7 Days Rwanda Uganda Safari will start from Kampala and end in Kigali. During the safari you will get an opportunity of viewing Rhinos at Ziwa rhino sanctuary which is the only destination harboring the endangered rhinos in Uganda. you will also explore Murchison falls national park which is the largest and most visited national park in Uganda harboring abundant wildlife species such as elephants, lions, leopards, Jackson’s hartebeest, giraffes, Uganda kobs, hippos, warthogs, bird species among others. From Murchison falls national park you will transfer to Kibale forest national park where you will spend time with the chimpanzees in their natural habitat and also visit Bwindi impenetrable national park which harbors the endangered mountain gorillas. From Bwindi impenetrable national park you will connect to Rwanda for Kigali city tour as you end your safari.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1 of the 7 days Uganda safari
Transfer to Murchison falls national park, on the first day of your 7 days Uganda safari you will be welcomed by our driver guide at Entebbe international airport and then start your journey to Murchison falls national park which is located in the northern part of Kampala. The journey to Murchison falls national park takes about 4 to 5 hours’ drive and on your way you will have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary the only destination in Uganda harboring the endangered rhinos. At Ziwa rhino sanctuary you will view the rhinos and later continue the journey with en-route lunch in Masindi town. After lunch you will continue the journey to the park and upon arrival you will check in at the lodge, have dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Game drive and Boat cruise
Game drive, on the second day of your 7 days Uganda safari you will have an early breakfast and your driver guide will pick you up and transfer for the morning game drive which will start at around 7:00am in Buligi game track. During the game drive you will have spectacular views of animals in the park such as elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, lions, waterbucks, warthogs, antelopes among others. After the game drive you will drive back to the lodge have lunch and re-freshen up.
Boat cruise, after lunch, you will go for an afternoon boat cruise on River Nile which takes about 2 hours. During the boat ride you will be able to view various animals such as the elephants, buffaloes, antelopes on the water shores, hippos and crocodiles in water and some water birds. The boat will continues to the bottom of the falls where you will have beautiful views of the waterfall and while at the bottom of the falls, you can opt for top of the falls hike which takes about 45 minutes. During hiking you will enjoy water splashes, beautiful scenery among others. The hike is strenuous hence needs you to be physically fit. When you reach the top of the falls you will meet up with your driver guide and then transfer back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Transfer to Kibale national park
After an early breakfast on the third day of your 7 days Uganda safari you will check out of the lodge, meet up with your driver guide and start the journey to Kibale national park. It takes about 8 to 9 hours’ drive from Murchison falls national park to Kibale national park with spectacular views of the Rwenzori mountains, Lake Albert, Lake Edward and Lake George, rift valley among others. On your way you will have en-route lunch and stop overs to stretch your legs, take photos and then continue to the lodge where you will check in, have dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale national park
Chimpanzee trekking, On the fourth day of your 7 days Uganda safari you will have an early breakfast and then meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Kanyachu Visitors Centre for a chimpanzee trekking briefing about the rules, regulations and expectations. After the briefing you will be grouped into a group of 6, allocated a chimpanzee group to trek and a park guide who is well conversant with the chimpanzees and the trails to follow.
Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale forest national park takes about 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on the location of the chimpanzees and once they are found, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat learning more about their life style, behaviors, watching them feed, playing up in the trees as you record videos and take plenty of pictures with a flash less camera. After the one hour with the chimpanzees, you will trek back to Kanyachu Visitors Centre meet up with your driver guide and drive back to the lodge for lunch.
Nature walk, after lunch you will go for a nature walk in Bigodi community wetland where you will have spectacular views of different bird species like the great blue turaco, papyrus gonolek, primates like the black and white colobus monkey, blue monkeys, red tailed monkey, plant species, butterflies and also have and interaction with the local people. After Bigodi wetland walk you will meet up with your driver guide and head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
After breakfast on the fifth day of your 7 days Uganda safari, you will check out of the lodge, meet up with your driver guide and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park where you will pass via Mbarara with en-route lunch at Arcadia lodge Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale. After lunch you will continue the journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park and upon arrival check in at your lodge have dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park
Gorilla trekking : on day 6 of your 7 days Uganda safari you will have an early breakfast, carry packed lunch and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing about the rules and regulations of gorilla trekking. After the briefing you will be grouped into 8 people, allocated a gorilla family to trek and a park guide. Grouping of individuals is done according to personal interests, age and physical fitness therefore in case you are not physically fit, you are advised to communicate with your driver guide so that you are allocated a gorilla family that is near to trek. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park takes 30 minutes to 7 hours with great views of plants, tree species, bird species and other primates.
Gorilla Trekking – Kenya Uganda Safari
Once the gorillas are found, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their natural habit learning more about their lifestyle, behaviors, taking photos with flash less camera, recording videos among other. After having an encounter with the gorilla family you will trek back to the starting point where you will be awarded a certificate for participating in gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park, meet up with your driver guide and transfer to the lodge for late lunch.
Transfer to Kigali: after lunch you will check out of the lodge, meet up with the driver guide to start the journey to Kigali via Cyanika border in Kisoro. The journey takes about 4 hours’ drive and upon arrival you will check into the lodge have dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Kigali city tour and departure
Kigali city tour : On the last day of your 7 days Uganda safari, you will wake up have breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to for the city tour in the cleanest town in Africa. During the city tour you will visit Kigali genocide where you will learn more about the blood shading of the 1994 Rwanda genocide, craft markets where they make paintings, sculptures, visit Kimironko local market where you will meet the local people selling different items such as souvenirs, market vendors selling fruits, vegetables, handmade crafts like mats, baskets, cultural sites like Kandt museum of natural history among others where after you will go for a buffet at Hotel des Mille Collins or any of the hotels in Kigali. After lunch your driver guide will transfer you to Kigali International airport for your next flight.
